       In Episode 92 of Tobin Tonight, we welcome Tebey to the podcast.  Tebey talks about signing a record deal at 16, losing that deal and working his way back into the music industry (not that he ever left, he just sort of shifted gears). 

       Tebey also talks about being a mental health advocate and how it's still a struggle today but it's important to talk about it.

        In Episode 4 of Tobin Tonight, Tobin welcomes another fellow Newfoundlander, Damian Follett.

       Damian talks about his song No Second Chances,  and his career in the music scene.  He also explains the importance of giving it your all, everytime you hit the stage. 

      I recall waking up early in the morning to watch the Addams Family and Inspector Gadget on NTV andinbetween shows they would show part of Damians video for No Second Chances and to this day I still enjoy the song and the video.

  • Ennis Sisters

     In Episode 3 of Tobin Tonight, Tobin welcomes some hometown guests.  From St. John's, Newfoundland, we are joined by Maureen, Karen and Teresa Ennis of the Ennis Sisters. 

     The trio talk about their upbringing, how they formed the band and they share some sisterly love in a fun game at the end. 

       The Ennis Sisters and I have grown up with each other in the sense that my family knows their family very well.  

     Fun Fact:  When I was little I drew them a very poor drawing and brought it to their house.

  • Heather Rankin


        In Episode 2 of Tobin Tonight, Tobin talks to Heather Rankin about her solo career, what she was planning to do before joining the Rankin Family and her nickname among her siblings.  

       Heather talks about her ECMA success and being nominated for a Juno. She also opens up about her late sister Raylene and the impact that had on her. 

       Similar to brother Jimmy, I first noticed Heather through radio and music television channels. This interview I really enjoyed as Heather was a great guest, very open, warm, and witty.

  • Jimmy Rankin

      In the very first episode of Tobin Tonight, Tobin talks to fellow east coaster, Jimmy Rankin. 

      Jimmy talks about The Rankin Family, their success and how the band formed. Jimmy opens up about his late brother John and about  moving on to become a solo artist.   

     I loved Jimmy Rankin, growing up in Newfoundland  I would hear his tunes on the radio and see his videos on CMT and Much More Music.  Seeing Jimmy succeed gave me hope that even in small places you can make noise.
